Are the security role settings for the SSEM module the same as for ProgressBook?   I only can... answer for the SSEM settings..I don't work with Progress Book...I would think these are too different "animals".  SSEM settings would allow access for different reasons (regular ed teachers may only need level 100 and special ed would need level 300), the settings could also be "customized"  (for example you may want level 300 to have everything but "finalize" and "delete" etc.)... These are the default Security Settings: Level:                  100             200             300             400              read                            x               x               x               x                archive                 x               x               x               x                new                                                             x               x                edit                                                            x               x                finalize                                                        x               x                delete                                                                  x                comment                                 x               x               x                delete finalized and other settings are reserved for the administrative levels (500+)
